Ms. Laumann was born in Ghana, West Africa and is a naturalized U.S. citizen. She received her B.A (hons.) and M.Phil degrees in Political Science at the University of Ghana. She also completed one year of graduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles through a University of Ghana scholarship. Her interest in immigration issues was sparked by her work with immigrants and refugees as Outreach Coordinator at the African Community Research Center in Los Angeles. As Study Abroad Director at The University of Memphis, Ms. Laumann advised students and scholars on immigration matters. She attended the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at The University of Memphis, where she received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Methods (Best Appellate Brief). Ms. Laumann has been a Memphis resident since 1999. She is married to Dr. Dennis Laumann, Associate Professor of History at the University of Memphis and has a son. Ms. Laumann is admitted to practice in Tennessee and she currently focuses on immigration and nationality law, special education and family law.

Charlotte Prather Milton primarily practices in the area of Juvenile and Family Law and has a special interest in Special Education Law.
Charlotte Prather Milton received her B.A. in Economics from Occidental College in Los Angeles in 1983 and her J.D. in 2008 from the University of Memphis where she graduated in the top quarter of her class.
Ms. Milton's introduction to special education came with the birth of her second daughter who was born with a bilateral severe hearing loss. After successfully negotiating services for her daughter, she volunteered as a parent/child advocate in CA.
Ms. Milton taught mathematics for the Los Angeles School District before her first marriage. After her first daughter was born, she opened and operated a daycare facility for several years until the family moved to the high desert in CA. There, Ms. Milton homeschooled her three children for seven years while running a small family farm. After a divorce, she moved to Mississippi to be near her father’s family. In 2005, she remarried and moved to Memphis to begin Law School.
Ms. Milton was born in Georgia while her father was stationed in the Mediterranean on duty with the United States Navy. Throughout her life she moved multiple times as her father’s duty station changed. After her father’s death at age 12, her mother moved the family to California. Ms. Milton is currently living in Memphis, TN. She is the mother of 3 children and married to a great husband.
